Algood Middle School is hosting a Veteran's Day program beginning at 8:30 A.M. in the gym. Those who have served or are serving in our armed forces are invited to attend.

PTO is hosting a hat day on Friday, November 13. This is a fundraiser for our school. The cost is $1.00.
You are invited to a Chili Cook-Off featuring our very own principals, Mr. Martin vs. Mr. Roberson! See who can cook up the best chili on Thursday, November 19, from 4:30-6:30 (come and go). Purchase a ticket for $5.00 in advance or $8.00 at the door. The ticket includes a bowl of chili, hotdog, dessert, and a drink.
After eating, stick around to support our Algood Redskins basketball teams who will be playing against Monterey!

Supervision for students dropped off by parents or guardians begins at 7:15 a.m. each school day. Students are to go directly to the gym or cafeteria, sit down, and remain there until they are released to go to class at 7:45 a.m.
Beginning Monday, November 2, outside doors will not be unlocked until 7:15 a.m. Since there is no supervision before 7:15 a.m., all parents are strongly encouraged not to drop off students before 7:15 a.m.
For the safety of our students, we need the cooperation of everyone. The only exception to this is if a student has made prior arrangements to meet a teacher at school for academic assistance before 7:15 a.m. If this is the case, please do not drop off your child until you personally see the teacher and know your child is entering the building with the teacher.

We would love to have many of our students come and cheer on our teams while they play. Please remember that all students are expected to follow the same behavior and conduct rules as during the school day. Disrespectful behavior towards officials, opposing team and/or fans will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
If students are dropped off to watch the game, they will be kept in the gym until the game is over. If a student must leave before the game is over, parents must come to the gym to collect the student.
Our fabulous PTO is selling long-sleeved t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and short-sleeved t-shirts with the Algood Middle School emblem. To learn more or to download an order form, please visit the PTO page. Remember--all the proceeds go back into supporting our school.
| Doors Locked During the Day |
After 8:00 A.M., all of the side doors in the school building will be locked. If you wish to visit the school, please come through the front door and sign in at the office. The front door is the door visible in the banner at the top of this page. A visitor parking lot is available near the front door.
