Capshaw Elementary School opened in 1939 with a total of 4 classrooms. In 2004 a new school was constructed behind the oringinal building , which now houses approximately 560 students. Capshaw has remained a leader in academics and community service throughout the years and attributes much of the success to faculty commitment to excellence and parent involvement in their child's education.
